Jamie needs to deal with John in Outlander Book 8, Chapter 64

Jamie has a lot to deal with in Outlander Book 8, Chapter 64. Something he didn’t really think about was what could happen to Lord John Grey.

After being used to dealing with about 50 men in his command, Jamie now finds himself in charge of around 300. That’s a lot of people to deal with, and he knows there are going to be a lot of those men complaining about situations.

If only it was the men he had to deal with. Hell, if only it was the upcoming battles and Lee taking over from Lafayette for one of the upcoming campaigns. Jamie has to deal with a situation that involves a former friend: Lord John Grey.

This is another chapter that doesn’t really foreshadow things. It’s setting up the plot for things to come. However, I do think there’s a small hint of foreshadowing when it comes to Jamie and John’s relationship.

I would like to see it used in the TV series, but I’m not sure it will. I’ll get to my thoughts on that in the adaptation section of the post.

Let’s dive into Written in My Own Heart’s Blood Chapter 64.
