Claire gets to work on treating John’s eye in Outlander Book 8, Chapter 63

The honey has finally arrived in Outlander Book 8, Chapter 63. It’s time to finish treating John’s eye.

This is a relatively short chapter. It’s more about tying up the loose end of John’s injury to make sure he gets some relief and doesn’t end up with an infected eye. It’s also about finding out what is really going on with Percy.

Claire doesn’t believe the conspiracy. I love with all the time travel and everything she’s seen, she doesn’t believe that Fergus could be the heir of a fortune. I guess it just shows how her brain works. She is a logical person, after all.

The chapter doesn’t foreshadow too much for me. It’s all about plot development, and I’ll get to my thoughts on that in the foreshadowing section.

I could see this chapter being used in the TV series. I’ll get to my thoughts on that in the adaptation section of this post.

Let’s dive into Written in My Own Heart’s Blood Chapter 63.
