Outlander Book 10 spoilers: Jamie and Roger talk of the dead
Talk of the dead comes up a lot in the Outlander books. Diana Gabaldon shared more Outlander Book 10 spoilers, which saw more talk of the dead.
We often see someone in the Outlander books discuss the dead. It is often Claire or Jamie, as they think about the past. One of the best things about them is that they don’t forget those who have come before, some of whom they have had a hand in killing for various reasons.
Diana Gabaldon has shared a new excerpt from the 10th book in the series. This books still doesn’t have a name, but it is still set to be the last of the series. Of course, that means we’re worried that it means the end for a few characters, and this excerpt makes us worried about one character in particular.
Jamie and Roger talk about the dead in Outlander Book 10
The daily lines starts with Jamie sharing what he hopes Roger will do while he’s in charge at Fraser’s Ridge. We don’t fully get to see where Jamie is going, but it’s clear that Roger would prefer to be with his father-in-law rather than at the Ridge.
There is a quick mention of Frances, who is introduced in Written in My Own Heart’s Blood, and then there is the mention of the dead who talk to Jamie.
It’s not always those he wants to talk to him. He doesn’t mind his dad or Murtagh coming to share their advice. Even his mom shows up now and then, and he accepts her.
There are times that people who aren’t his own family who show up. They do make sense. Jamie is often haunted by the people he has killed, whether in battle or for some other reason.
