Will Wendigo Donner return in Outlander Season 7?
There are a lot of questions about potential returning characters in Outlander Season 7. Wendigo Donner is one who could come back.
Outlander Season 7 will premiere in June 2023. Now all eyes are on what the storylines will be and which characters will return. We’re expecting storylines from the end of A Breath of Snow and Ashes, the sixth book in the story, to come up at the start of the seventh season.
One of those storylines involves a particular time traveler. It’s all about Wendigo Donner. Could we see him come back into the story this season?
Is Wendigo Donner in Outlander Season 7?
We haven’t seen Brennan Martin, who played Wendigo Donner, in any spoiler photos. He also wasn’t on the list of confirmed actors in the season. That doesn’t mean he won’t be back. After all, Arch Bug hasn’t been confirmed officially, but Sam Heughan did share some behind the scene shots with him at one point during filming.
This could suggest that Wendigo will return. The last we saw him was at the end of Outlander Season 5. He realized that Claire was a fellow time traveler and he wanted to know how to get back to his own time. She shared how, and then later learned that Wendigo wasn’t there when Jamie and co. killed everyone.
In A Breath of Snow and Ashes, Wendigo comes to the house looking for gems so that he can travel through the stones. This leads to the house fire, which there are hints of happening in the trailer for the series. As Wendigo burglarized the house, a vial of ether is knocked over and it leads to the house fire.
It would make sense to keep this storyline the same, but there are other ways around bringing the house fire. It all depends on whether Martin was available to film, if the show decided to recast, or if the writers decided to combine other storylines with the house fire.
