Foreshadowing in the Outlander chapter

The chapter doesn’t foreshadow too much that I see. This is more about plot development. We need to know more about Percy and what he is up to. It’s clear that this is something that is going to come up.

At the same time, we have the John and Jamie situation still to play out. With John realizing that he and Jamie are in the same camp, that’s sure to come up. After all, won’t Germain tell Jamie that John is here? And we also know Claire is in the same camp. There’s a lot to cover coming up.

Adapting the Written in My Own Heart’s Blood chapter

Even if Percy isn’t used in Outlander Season 7, I could see this chapter being used. After all, we know that John has to marry Claire and that Jamie has to come back from the dead. We know that Jamie and John need to fall out, and there needs to be tension between them.

Of course, we also know that the Revolutionary War is happening. The show can’t avoid that, especially with storylines used in Outlander Season 6. That would suggest that everything that is going on in the camp right now in the book is going to be adapted.

If the Percy storyline is used, great. However, I don’t think the show is going to fully adapt John’s character for the season. There just isn’t enough time for all this, especially when Ian’s and William’s storylines also need to be adapted more.
