What happened to Ezra Spurnrose in Carnival Row Season 2?

The Carnival Row Season 2 finale is now available to stream on Prime Video. What happened to Ezra Spurnrose in the series?

Outlander‘s Andrew Gower returned in Carnival Row Season 2. He was everything that we expected after the first season. Angry at Imogen running off with a faun, he was out for revenge, and that took him to Ragusa.

He did survive the initial threat on his life in Ragusa. Agreus decided not to kill Ezra as he thought Imogen would never forgive him for it. However, Ezra wasn’t done with trying to break his sister and Agreus up. Did that lead to his end?

Did Ezra die in Carnival Row Season 2?

With the second season being the final one, we knew there was a chance that a lot of characters would die. Would Ezra be one of them, or would he see the error of his ways and change?

It turned out he wasn’t chosen to last until the end. Ezra’s death actually came in Episode 8, and it wasn’t a heroic one. Ezra was the same all the way to the end.

After constantly finding a way to break Imogen and Agreus up, the two had enough. As Agreus pinned Ezra to the ground, Imogen covered Ezra’s nose and mouth, suffocating him to death. They then dumped his body into a mass grave for the nobles of Ragusa. The aim was to hide his body so that the two could escape the threat of New Dawn.

Well, that didn’t work. Ezra’s body was found, and it led Leonora and her group to Imogen and Agreus. We’ll leave you to watch the show to find out how that story ended.
