Outlander fans are still looking for something to watch, and Netflix has us covered right now. All eight episodes of Shadow and Bone Season 2 are available.
There are a few shows to check out during Droughtlander. We need them too. These Droughtlanders are long.
The good news is that Netflix has us covered at the moment. Just recently, it brought us the remaining five episodes of You Season 4, which included Ed Speleers and Andrew Gower. Now it’s brought us a series that is perfect for those looking for fantasy mixed with historical fiction.
It’s all about Shadow and Bone Season 2. There are eight episodes to binge your way through.
What is Shadow and Bone Season 2 about?
The second season follows the second book in the Grishaverse trilogy, Siege and Storm by Leigh Bardugo. There are elements of the Six of Crows duology included, too. That means more of the Crows, led by Kaz.
The season picks up off the back of the first season, following Alina and co. attempting to take down The Darkling. They are all in hiding now, but they will need to come out of hiding if they want to bring an end to the Fold. That’s all that many people want, and they will do anything they can to get to Alina to make sure she does it.
One of those happens to be a very powerful person. He will offer Alina everything needed, but can he be fully trusted? Can you ever trust a Privateer? Well, maybe when you find out he’s not a Privateer after all.
Then there’s The Darkling, who isn’t dead but he has been infected. He needs to do everything he can to get his powers back to full strength.
Why Shadow and Bone is great during Droughtlander
If you’re a big fan of historical fantasies, Shadow and Bone is more than worth checking out. This reminds me a lot of the likes of Supernatural and Buffy the Vampire Slayer, but there are a lot of magical elements mixed in with the different races of people.
It’s also based on a book series. There are some substantial changes that I’ve spotted while watching the season, especially this season. The books are told from Alina’s POV, which means that we don’t get to see everything going on with The Darkling and other characters. That changes with the series, and I love it. It adds a new layer of stress to the story that the books couldn’t.
Shadow and Bone Season 2 is now streaming on Netflix.
