Foreshadowing in the Outlander chapter

This chapter certainly foreshadows more to come for Roger’s story. He’s about to get answers that he never thought possible. He’s going to meet someone he never thought he would. We’re leading up to him meeting his father.

Roger could have chosen to head back through the stones to see if Jem was still there and Bree was safe. Instead, he decides to stay in the past and take on this more personal journey. It was always clear that would lead to something.

Adapting the Written in My Own Heart’s Blood chapter

I want to see the chapter used in the series. I want to see the storyline of Roger and Jerry told on screen. If it does happen, I don’t expect to see it until Outlander Season 8. In fact, I wonder if Season 7 could end with Roger coming across Jerry.

This still needs to lead to Buck and Geillis meeting. So, in a way, we do need some of this chapter to be used in Season 7. After all, we know Lotte Verbeek is back in Season 7, so we need the Geillis scenes at some point.
