Foreshadowing in the Outlander chapter

The foreshadowing in this chapter is certainly at the end. We all thought the past would be the most dangerous place, but it turns out that Lallybroch in the 1980s isn’t safe. Bree is contemplating going back through the stones to her parents.

Of course, she needs to find Roger first. She isn’t going to head to the past without finding him. This is going to be the next part of her journey.

Adapting the Written in My Own Heart’s Blood chapter

The chapter is sure to be used in the TV series. This is a major dramatic moment, and there’s no way the show would get away with not showing it. We need to see the shootout happening, giving us a chance to see what Bree would do to save her family. We need to see everyone coming together, and we all need to hate on Ernie together. Had Ernie not taking Jem back to Lallybroch, this probably wouldn’t have happened.

There’s no need for the series to skip over this. I do wonder if some of this will wrap up Outlander Season 7, and then hold Bree’s search for Roger in the past for Season 8.
