Foreshadowing in the Outlander chapter

This chapter certainly foreshadows Geillis Duncan coming back. I think it’s easy to get that sense that the woman is Geillis with how Roger feels about it. There’s something oddly familiar about the woman in his mind.

This foreshadows everything to come with Buck and Roger. It’s also a bit of plot development. There’s a mention of Cranesmuir, and it’s clear that the two will need to go there next. They are certainly not welcome with the MacLarens anymore.

Adapting the Written in My Own Heart’s Blood chapter

I do expect to see this chapter used. We know that Geillis Duncan is coming back into the story in Outlander Season 7, so it makes sense that chapters after this will be used. Doesn’t it make a lot of sense to have the story of the croft included in the TV show? I think it does.

We need to see just how superstitious the people of the time are. We know they are based on everything from Outlander Season 1, but it would be good to get that reminder. Sometimes, it’s very easy to forget. Not that Outlander Seasons 5 and 6 allowed us to.
