Just the Outlander chapter

Jem is at Fiona and Ernie’s house. I love how he calls them Mr. and Mrs. Buchan. That is something that he would have grown up with, both in the 18th century and in the 1980s. Seeing this chapter from his perspective is everything.

He is scared of everything that happened to him. He was dangled upside down over some water, and then he had to escape. He could have been fine had it not been a report where his face popped up in the news.

Rob Cameron shows up at the door, but it’s not for Jemmy. Jem wants to get away, but he refuses to leave Mandy behind. It’s okay, though. Fiona is there.

It turns out that Cameron wants to know about Craigh na Dun. As Fiona gets Cameron into the kitchen, she gets Jemmy to head to a neighbor’s house to get the police. Jemmy does that, although it’s not too easy with Mrs. Kelleher being deaf and Jem being panicked. Of course, the police don’t initially take his call seriously. Once they do, Jem keeps an eye out for them.

Cameron suddenly leaves, so Jem goes back. Fiona has been injured. The police turn up just before Ernie. Things are getting far more serious, but Ernie manages to keep his cool and suggests they all go out for a fish supper.
