Just the Outlander chapter

The chapter starts with Bree visiting Jock MacLeod. She needs to find out from him who hit him. Jock doesn’t know the name of the person, but he would recognize the man if he saw him again. However, there is a problem. The man has such plain features that he wouldn’t be spotted based on a picture of him.

Bree wants to draw a picture of the man, anyway. This is going to be important if she wants to keep her family safe. I love that we get this moment of Bree’s artistic talents, something that hasn’t been mentioned in a while.

After that, she heads back to Lallybroch to meet with the locksmith. The locksmith has been pulled away from Lallybroch for an emergency. Is it possible that Rob Cameron has called in that emergency? All Bree knows is that it means her home is still under threat.

So, she drives to a gas station to make a call to Fiona to make sure Jem and Mandy can stay there until the morning. Bree then gets some snacks and her shotgun and waits for Rob Cameron and his men to show back up.
