Outlander Book Club: Written in My Own Heart’s Blood Chapter 35 breakdown
Roger needs to get to Buck in Outlander Book 8, Chapter 35
We start off at Fort William in Outlander Book 8, Chapter 35. Roger can’t stay there as Buck needs his help.
This is a big chapter for Roger even though it’s short. It’s a chance for him to reflect on who he can trust, and the thought of Buck comes up. It seems like perfect timing as Buck sends word from Inverness to say that he needs Roger’s help.
Despite Roger’s doubts, it’s clear that Buck trusts Roger. Out of everyone who may be able to help, Buck knows that Roger could. There’s a chance at least. And if not, I get this sense that Buck wants to die with someone he knows close to him.
There is certainly some foreshadowing in this chapter, and I’ll get to that in the foreshadowing section. I do expect to see this chapter used in the TV series. Not only is it important for the Jemmy situation, but it’s also important for Buck’s storyline and foreshadowing something else in the future.
Let’s dive into Written in My Own Heart’s Blood Chapter 35.
