Outlander Book Club: Written in My Own Heart’s Blood Chapter 34 breakdown
Just the Outlander chapter
The chapter starts the morning after finding Jem. Bree takes the children to Fiona, who is happy to have the children stay for a while. Bree needs to make sure Lallybroch is secure.
Bree tells Fiona everything that’s been going on, including the fact that Roger is somewhere in the past looking for Jemmy. All they can do for Roger right now is pray that he’ll be okay.
As for Bree, she needs to change the locks at Lallybroch and get an alarm system installed. At least she’s thinking practical, but I do get a sense that it’s too little too late at this point. Rob Cameron has people working for him.
Bree also wants to visit Jock MacLeod in hospital and speak to Rob’s sister. She needs to know more about this man who kidnapped her son, and seeing family is the best way to do that. She would also appreciate it if Fiona would ask the dancers if they know of the Camerons or the Orkleys to figure out connections.
I just love that Bree trusts Fiona. I also love that Fiona is always happy to help. The MacKenzies need someone they can trust fully, and Fiona is that person just like Mrs. Graham was for Claire.
