Brianna turns to Fiona for help in Outlander Book 8, Chapter 34

After everything that went on with Cameron, Bree turns to the one person she knows she can trust. She takes Jem and Mandy to Fiona in Outlander Book 8, Chapter 34.

I’ll admit going into this chapter that something doesn’t strike me as smart. Bree decides that she and the kids will spend the night at Lallybroch before going to Fiona’s. She knows that Cameron has her rifle and a set of keys to the house, but she still decides to sleep there. I know she pushed a set of drawers in front of the door and they all slept in Mandy’s room, but it still doesn’t make a lot of sense. I wouldn’t have slept there!

She does go to Fiona’s the next morning, and shares everything. I do love that Fiona knows the full truth about time travel. It means that Bree can be honest about where Roger is and what that could mean.

There is some foreshadowing in this chapter, I think. I’ll get to that in the foreshadowing section.

I want to see this chapter used in the TV series. I have a feeling it will, even though there haven’t been any signs of Iona Claire returning.

Let’s dive into Written in My Own Heart’s Blood Chapter 34.
