Just the Outlander chapter

The chapter starts with Bree and the children getting back to Lallybroch. A cop follows them and takes a look around the house, but Rob Cameron is no longer there. I don’t think any of us are shocked to find that out. Rob wasn’t just going to sit and wait to be saved. The constable at least checks that the doors and windows are locked and that the phone is working.

That’s a little pointless, though. Bree realizes that the door has been locked from the outside and her rifle is missing. Rob Cameron is out there armed and with a key to the house. The family isn’t safe, and she needs to figure out what to do.

On top of that, Jemmy is worried. He knows that Rob is working with others, but he doesn’t know how many there are. Neither does Bree.

What can she do? She needs to get the children out of the house, but where can they go? Roger isn’t around to help them. There is only one place that they can go. They need to head to Fiona’s house. She’ll allow them to stay, and at least she knows about time travel so they can be fully honest with her.
