Foreshadowing in the Outlander chapter

The chapter doesn’t have all that much in the way of foreshadowing. This is all plot development and sets up things to come. It’s clear that the man is working with Rob, and that this whole thing isn’t over yet. However, Rob is going to be in trouble. He underestimated Jemmy and Bree. There is some hope that the cops got there so will have details of the events that happened.

Adapting the Written in My Own Heart’s Blood chapter

I expect to see this chapter used in the TV series. The chapters in Written in My Own Heart’s Blood are very short. I’ll admit that I was surprised by this the first time reading through the book. The previous chapter with Jem and Bree would have been combined with this one in earlier books, and I’m surprised it wasn’t in this book.

This chapter is needed if the whole of Bree and Jemmy’s storyline plays out. I can’t see why it won’t since Rob Cameron has been cast. This is the big drama for the MacKenzie family, so it needs to be used in the TV series. There is no way around it.
