Foreshadowing in the Outlander chapter

This chapter certainly foreshadows everything about Mandy and Jem at this point. They have a bond that nobody else does. Mandy knows that her brother isn’t in any immediate danger right now, which means she’s remaining calm. She focuses on figuring out where he is to help Bree. When Jem is in danger, we’ll know. Mandy will feel it.

I think there’s also foreshadowing that Rob will remain a threat for some time. Bree will need to figure out what to do to get word to Roger that Jem isn’t in the past after all.

Adapting the Written in My Own Heart’s Blood chapter

I do expect to see this chapter used in the Outlander TV series. I suspect it will be in Season 7.

When it comes to Bree and Roger’s story in An Echo in the Bone, there isn’t much to adapt for TV. I think that’s why the Book 8 storyline has been used for Season 7. And we know that is the case based on the casting news for the seventh season. Some of the characters in it come up in Roger’s storyline as he’s in the past.

It makes sense to add the whole Rob Camerons storyline in Outlander Season 7. Some of it could be held for Season 8, but it could speed up the process of getting Bree and Roger back in the past to wrap everything up in the final season.
