Claire and Jamie are reunited in Outlander Book 8, Chapter 24

It’s finally time to see Claire and Jamie back together. Outlander Book 8, Chapter 24 does not disappoint when it comes to that moment.

We do start off with Claire alone. She’s surrounded by people and things that make her feel at peace, and I love that for her. With everything that has gone on up to this point, she needs this.

Then she starts to think about Fraser’s Ridge and returning there. It’s a possibility for her, and we can sense her heartwarming to that. It was once just a dream. Of course, we know it’s not going to happen just yet thanks to a certain George Washington.

Jamie does turn up in this chapter. We have this moment of the two coming back together intimately and emotionally, and it’s such a heartwarming part of the book. They can weather any storm, but there is still a big one coming in the form of the Revolutionary War.

I do get a little sense of foreshadowing in this chapter, and I’ll get to that. I also hope to see this chapter used in the TV series, but I’ll share my thoughts on how it may work.
