Foreshadowing in the Outlander chapter

There’s a lot going on in the chapter, and we get a lot of character and plot development. It’s time to get ready for more characters to return and the full story to push forward now.

I think the foreshadowing is in Jamie’s reaction to hearing that John is still alive and on his way back. He’s happy that John is still alive. While he left John behind, he didn’t think something serious would happen. Now he’s found out that his actions led to almost losing John, and he doesn’t like that.

I think we get this foreshadowing that their friendship will mend, but it will take a lot of time. Jamie is angry, and he struggles to deal with that. However, he doesn’t want John gone for good, and that’s important for the way things end with Book 9 and what we can probably expect in Book 10.

Adapting the Written in My Own Heart’s Blood chapter

What about using this chapter in Outlander Season 7 or 8? I think we will see it in some sort of way. I can’t tell if Hal will be in the show, but I hope he is. He is important at this point in the story as Jenny finds the right person to blame for things that happened to Ian and Hal and Jamie learn what happened to John. We also have the Ian/Jenny reunion.

I just wonder if there is enough time for it. Outlander Season 8 is the last and only has 10 episodes. Is there really going to be enough time for this when we also have Claire, William, Roger, and Bree?
