Denny Hunter treats John’s injuries in Outlander Book 8, Chapter 13

We have another Outlander Book 8 chapter split in three parts. We get to see what Jamie, John, and Claire are all up to next.

For John, we get to see him being treated by Denny Hunter. I love that we get to see Denny attempt to help John. He thinks about Claire, and he wants to find a way to get John back to her. If she was here to treat John, that would make it much easier.

Then there’s Jamie, who is trapped with his back still. He gets to learn a little more of what’s going in the world right now. I love that we learn more about the Revolutionary War through the eyes of the regular people.

Finally, there is Claire, who is still helping Hal heal. There is always the threat of British soldiers coming to look for him, and Claire is the one who will need to deal with all that. Hal will be able to help with that.

I don’t see too much in the way of foreshadowing in this chapter. I”l get to that in the foreshadowing section.

What about adapting the storyline? With Outlander Season 8 the last, I’m not too sure about that, but I’ll take a look at that in the adaptation section.

Let’s dive into Written in My Own Heart’s Blood Chapter 13.
