Foreshadowing in the Outlander chapter

There is a little bit of foreshadowing—or I guess, plot development—in this chapter. John has heard Dottie, and we know that she’s now with Denny Hunter. Claire confirms that in her part of the chapter.

It’s clear that Dottie and Denny will be the way to save Lord John Grey. That’s the only way it can work, right? I’ll admit that my memory of this book isn’t all that clear as it’s not one of my favorites to reread.

Adapting An Echo in the Bone chapter

Is the chapter important enough to be included in the TV series? That’s something I can’t tell with Outlander Season 8 confirmed as the last. I just don’t think there’s going to be enough time for all this. It all depends on how much of William’s, Ian’s, and Bree and Roger’s storylines are going to be included.

I do think John’s capture is important, but maybe not enough to be used in the series. It would work for an episode, especially with Jamie away too and Claire wondering where both the men in her life are.
