Claire continues to treat Hal in Outlander Book 8, Chapter 12

Outlander Book 8, Chapter 12 is split into three parts, with three prisoners of sought. We catch up with John, Hal, and Jamie.

We start with John, who is now in irons and is a very clear prisoner. There is someone from his own life at the same American camp, but what does this mean? It’s something we’ll get to find out in the chapter.

After all, when it comes to Hal, Claire has the chance to tell him what happened to Dottie. She has married a Quaker, and we know who that Quaker is. There is some foreshadowing here in how John can be saved.

Then there’s Jamie, who is a “prisoner” thanks to his back spasms. He’s in the right place at the right time, though. We get to learn a little more about Mrs. Hardman.

As mentioned, there is some foreshadowing in this chapter. I’ll get to that in the foreshadowing section.

Some of this may be used in the TV series. I’ll get to my thoughts on that in the adaptation section, especially with Outlander Season 8 confirmed as the last.

Let’s dive into Written in My Own Heart’s Blood Chapter 12.
