Foreshadowing in the Outlander chapter

The chapter doesn’t foreshadow all that much. This is more about plot development for John’s storyline.

I guess there is a bit of foreshadowing in how John thinks he would be better for a prisoner exchange. It’s clear that John isn’t going to die, but someone will need to come to his rescue first.

Adapting An Echo in the Bone chapter

I’m not sure if there will be enough time to include this whole storyline in Outlander Season 8. The eighth season is going to be the last, and that means a lot of storylines will need to be wrapped up. There are only 10 episodes to the season, too.

While I’m sure we’ll see the fight between John and Jamie, I get a sense that we won’t see John taken captive. If we do, it’s not going to be for long, and that means a lot of the smaller chapters won’t be used. It’s not like this is the most important chapter in the story, even for John’s individual storyline.
