Foreshadowing in the Outlander chapter

There isn’t too much foreshadowing in this chapter. I think the main part is that it’s not always easy to tell which side someone is on. It’s hard to trust anyone. We know there are some characters from An Echo in the Bone who haven’t been dealt with, and they may be threats to the Frasers.

There’s also the fact that William still has a commission. I’m surprised that Mrs. Figg doesn’t worry about him.

Adapting An Echo in the Bone chapter

I think this chapter is going to be adapted, at least in part. We need to see Jenny offer Claire the olive branch. We need to see how the two reconcile after everything that’s happened. This has to be shown on screen to make sense because there is going to be a lot of love for Jenny lost up to this point.

What about the rest of it with Mrs. Figg? I get a sense that all that will be cut out. It’s not as important except knowing that Lord John Grey isn’t important enough to be taken as a hostage.
