We see how William deals with his news in Outlander Book 8, Chapter 2

In Echo, William learned the truth about who his father really is. We see how he takes that news in Outlander Book 8, Chapter 2.

I find that the start of Written in My Own Heart’s Blood is mostly about wrapping up a few storylines from the seventh book to make way for new storylines to be introduced. I don’t really remember the other books doing this.

However, I do appreciate seeing William on his own. We need to see how he has taken the news since the last we saw him, he was angry. He is still understandably angry.

A lot of people give William a lot of flack for the way he acts in this part of the story. Honestly, he has Jamie’s temper in him, and I don’t blame him for being as angry and hurt as he is.

There isn’t much in the way of foreshadowing in this chapter, though. I want to see it used in the TV series, and I’ll get to my thoughts on why it’s important in the adaptation section.

Let’s dive into Written in My Own Heart’s Blood Chapter 2.
