Foreshadowing in the Outlander chapter

This chapter is all about pushing this storyline forward. I still think Jamie understands the situation at this point. He’s calm in finding out that John and Claire have been intimate, and I think Jamie understands there’s a reason for that. He must have word by now that they thought him dead. If not, just seeing how the two reacted would have given him that knowledge.

He knows Claire would need protecting. John is the person to do that. He also knows that a marriage needs consummating. Jamie isn’t going to say no to any of this. It’s the circumstances of John and Claire together both thinking of Jamie that pushes Jamie over the edge. All of this is coming together in this chapter.

Adapting An Echo in the Bone chapter

I fully expect the chapter to be used in Outlander Season 7. After all, we need to see John and Claire marry and we need to see Jamie get back to them. We need to see William learn the truth, and we need to see John tell Jamie the truth.

What I’m not too sure about is whether Jamie will have the soldiers chasing him at this point. Is it possible that this part will be skipped, and we just have the drama of the two big reveals? That would make the most sense considering the amount of content that needs to fit into Outlander Season 7.

Sometimes, I think the books have extra drama for the sake of it. Simplifying it for the TV series is important due to time and cost.
