We get a very short chapter focused on Ian’s feelings in Outlander Book 7, Chapter 99

Every now and then, we run into a short chapter. That’s the case with Outlander Book 7, Chapter 99.

There isn’t much going on in this chapter. It’s focused on Ian and his feelings. I do think we get a sense of the type of man that Ian is, though. He’s not one to think too much. He acts, and he pushes himself forward every chance he gets.

This is something that he does in this chapter. Ian is focused on finding Rachel, and he doesn’t stop for long to think about her. Not in a romantic sense, anyway. He’s focused on getting to her, worried of what might happen to her. He’s worried since Rollo ran off without her, and she should have followed.

As for Rollo, he’s just happy that Ian is back. I adore this relationship in the story. It reminds us of how unconditional the love of a dog is.

I don’t see too much in the way of foreshadowing in this chapter. It’s focused on plot development. Will it be used in the TV series, though? I’ll get to that in the adaptation section.

Let’s dive into An Echo in the Bone Chapter 99.
