Foreshadowing in the Outlander chapter

The chapter doesn’t really foreshadow all that much. It’s all about plot development. This is going to lead to a major problem for John and Jamie’s friendship.

It’s not the actual marriage that bothers him. He could understand that. It’s what’s to come when John and Claire consummate their marriage, and that has to happen. There are circumstances within that that Jamie can’t forgive, especially when it comes to John.

There’s also the plot development for Richardson. It’s clear that he wants to take down the Frasers. Maybe that’s the foreshadowing. He’s been watching Claire. Why would he watch her if there wasn’t some bigger plot to it?

Adapting An Echo in the Bone chapter

I do expect to see this chapter used. There’s no way the series can avoid John and Claire marrying, and based on images I’ve seen of filming, Jamie and John do fight when Jamie reveals he is still alive.

There is just so much drama in this moment, and it has some major repercussions later. I do think it will only take an episode and somewhere toward the end of Outlander Season 7, but I do expect it.
