Foreshadowing in the Outlander chapter

There is an element of foreshadowing in this as Claire thinks about how she’s walking through the streets of Philadelphia without being stopped. She notes that older women aren’t known to be spies, but is that because they are so good?

Captain Richardson plans to have Claire arrested for espionage later in the book. This is after John and Claire believe Jamie has died at sea, so John does what he can to protect Claire. He marries her. I think we get a glimpse of what’s to come for Claire in this chapter through the thoughts of older women getting away with being spies and John wanting to do something for Jamie.

Adapting An Echo in the Bone chapter

I hope to see the whole of this chapter play out in Outlander Season 7. I fully expect to get the Lord John Grey part. This all leads up to John and Claire getting married. Based on leaked photos from filming in Liverpool, it certainly looks like that whole storyline is going to play out.

What I’m unsure about is the bit with Marsali at the printshop. Lauren Lyle couldn’t say if she was going to be in Outlander Season 7 or not. I get a sense that means she will be and we’ll get to see the Frasers in Philadelphia. I hope we do considering Henri-Christian is the whole reason Claire goes to Philadelphia without Jamie. Why else would she leave Jamie in Scotland?
