Outlander Book Club: An Echo in the Bone Chapter 83 breakdown
Young Ian and Jenny finally get some quality time together in Outlander Book 7, Chapter 83
We get a very short but important chapter for Jenny and Young Ian. They have a peaceful and emotional moment in Outlander Book 7, Chapter 83.
It all starts with Young Ian not being able to sleep. He’s wracked with guilt and confused feelings, and all he can do is take a walk. That’s where he comes across his mother.
After everything we’ve seen of Jenny up to this point, I think this chapter tells us so much more about what she’s dealing with right now. She’s tired and fearful. We see that there is still love in her and that she still wants to calm her son, but she also needs someone to lash out at. Claire has become that person, and it’s really not that surprising when you consider all the secrets Claire and Jamie have kept up to this point.
Back to the chapter, though, we get to see a moment of solitude for Jenny as she shares an emotional moment with her son. There isn’t much in the way of foreshadowing, though. This is just a moment of peace for the two of them.
I want to see this chapter in the TV series. I’ll explain why in the adaptation section.
Let’s dive into An Echo in the Bone Chapter 83.
