Claire and Laoghaire come to an agreement in Outlander Book 7, Chapter 82
Laoghaire comes to Claire for help in Outlander Book 7, Chapter 82. It gives Claire all the ammunition she needs to get this woman out of her life for pretty much good.
Up to this point, the money Laoghaire demanded from Jamie in alimony has weighed heavily on Claire and Jamie. They’ve had to do a lot to be able to get the money, and they couldn’t escape it even when they remained in the Colonies. However, Jamie has needed to find a way out of it.
You see, it’s not just about him and Claire anymore. Joanie needs Laoghaire to remarry so she can follow her desire. Claire has a way to handle it all when it comes to Laoghaire begging Claire to head back to Philadelphia to save her grandson, Henri-Christian.
This chapter certainly foreshadows somethings to come when it comes to Claire and Jamie being separated. I’ll get to that in the foreshadowing section.
I have a feeling it will be used in the TV series. There’s no way that I can’t see it being used, and I’ll get to that in the adaptation section.
Let’s dive into An Echo in the Bone Chapter 82.
