Foreshadowing in the Outlander chapter

I don’t really sense any foreshadowing. I guess there’s a little of how Jenny will react to Claire when Ian dies. That’s not really going to be that surprising, though. People want to blame others when there’s been a death. Of course, Jenny will want to blame someone. Claire seems to be the perfect person for that.

But it’s not really foreshadowing. It’s clear that Ian is going to die. This is part of the upcoming plot that gets Jenny to America.

Adapting An Echo in the Bone chapter

I expect this whole chapter to be used in Outlander Season 7. We know that Claire, Jamie, and Young Ian are going back to Lallybroch. We know that Jenny and Ian will be there. There’s no reason to change this whole storyline.

We get the reunions, but we also get the bittersweet touch to it. There’s this chance for Jamie to say goodbye to his best friend and for Young Ian to say goodbye to his father. Maybe it was fate that made it take so long for them to get to Lallybroch, so they could do it just in time.
