Claire, Jamie, and Ian get back to Lallybroch in Outlander Book 7, Chapter 76

After chapters and chapters of waiting, we finally get to see Jenny’s reaction to Ian’s look in Outlander Book 7, Chapter 76. We also find out what’s going on with Ian Sr.

Young Ian (I’ll go back to calling him that to avoid confusion between father and son) is worried about going back to Lallybroch. The closer he gets, the more he worries. Claire is also concerned considering she is still a little angry at Jenny setting Jamie up with Laoghaire—although she has forgiven understanding the circumstances.

Jenny was hurt when Claire just suddenly turned back up. That’s not surprising considering Jenny doesn’t know about time travel yet.

The chapter is focused on Ian Murray, though. He doesn’t have long left to live, but can Claire save him?

This chapter certainly pushes the plot forward. I don’t really note any traditional foreshadowing, though. I do fully expect this chapter to be used in the TV series. We know Jenny Murray is back but with a different face, and we know Steven Cree will return as Ian Murray.
