During all Sasnak City events, there’s a chance to get to know the cast members. It’s all about the Meet and Greets at Sasnak City: The Gathering 2022.

If you want to get to know the cast better, you’ll want to purchase a Meet and Greet ticket for each of the cast members. Now, these do sell out fast. Everyone needs to be part of the Sasnak City Attendees Facebook group to know when the tickets for the Meet and Greets are available to purchase.

Only 12 people can go to each of the Meet and Greets. You can put yourself in for tickets to more than one Meet and Greet, but there are times when they clash with each other. You’re made aware of that before the tickets are available to purchase, so you can make a decision about who you want to meet.

What happens at these Meet and Greets, though? Are they something to attend at a Sasnak City event?

There were nine Meet and Greets throughout the 2022 Outlander convention. After all, there were nine cast members. Fans got a chance to speak to their favorite cast members during these small gatherings.

And they are small. With only 12 people there, it’s a great chance to really get to know the cast member. Of course, there are certain topics off-limit. When it came to Steven Cree’s Meet and Greet, he took it upon himself to go through all the rules, which led to some hilarious comments about them and give him a chance for his personality to shine through.

Attendees then get 30 minutes with the cast to ask questions and just generally chit-chat. This isn’t just a chance for people to get to know the cast, but for the cast members to know their fans. It’s important everyone gets a chance to ask questions, so there are Sasnak City team members in the rooms to make sure all the rules are followed.

One of my favorite moments was in Finn Den Hertog’s Meet and Greet. He spent the weekend explaining how one thing he loved about Outlander was learning how to ride a horse. So, each of the attendees decided they would pretend they were riding a horse as Finn walked into the room. He immediately got the joke and then joined in with the fun.

After the 30 minutes, there is a selfie opportunity. This takes around 10 minutes to get through everyone. Make sure you look at your selfies before you finish taking them to get a good one. A great thing about the surprise purchases is that there were opportunities to get another selfie if you wanted.

Something you’ll find about the cast members is that they remember meeting people. I could pick up conversations with cast members later in the event without having to remind them of what we were talking about. This is why Sasnak City: The Gathering is so great. The smaller numbers make it far more intimate.
