Ian kisses Rachel but then realizes his mistake in Outlander Book 7, Chapter 67

It was only a matter of time before Ian acted on his feelings for Rachel, and that happens in Outlander Book 7, Chapter 67. We also get to learn more about Dr. Rawlings.

This chapter is split into three POVs. We start with Claire, who gets a chance to talk to Dr. David Rawlings about his deceased brother. Then we move on to Ian, who kisses Rachel and backs away. Finally, it’s all about Rachel as she admits her feelings to Denny.

I love how the chapter is split up. I also love the three different storylines and how they connect to each other. We get to learn much more about Ian and Rachel in these sections, too.

I want to see the chapter used in the TV series. I’m debating whether the first part will be used, but I fully expect to see the Ian and Rachel scenes. I’ll get to my thoughts on that in the adaptation section.

There isn’t that much in the way of foreshadowing, though. This is more about plot development for everyone.
