Outlander Book Club: An Echo in the Bone Chapter 66 breakdown
Jamie has a chance to say goodbye to Simon Fraser in Outlander Book 7, Chapter 66
It’s not often in battle that people get a chance to say their goodbyes. However, Jamie gets that opportunity in Outlander Book 7, Chapter 66.
We knew in the previous chapter that Simon Fraser had been shot. Well, it turns out that he had been gravely injured. He is close to death, and there is nothing that anybody can do. However, Simon heard that Jamie was with the rebels and wanted to say some final words.
Claire goes with Jamie, so we see it from her point of view. She notices that there is a certain young man in the room that could cause a lot of trouble. Yes, it’s William. Is this the moment William will see Jamie and figure it all out?
This certainly continues to foreshadow that William is going to eventually work out the truth. There are just too many people now who notice that Jamie is William’s son just based on look.
I would love to see this chapter used in the TV series. Not only do we have Jamie and Simon, but we also see Claire meet Dr. Rawlings—a relative of the Dr. Rawlings she has come to know from her medical items. Then there’s also the fact that Jamie and William are so close to each other.
Let’s dive into An Echo in the Bone Chapter 66.
