Foreshadowing in the Outlander chapter

There is a little bit of foreshadowing in this chapter when it comes to Rachel. Claire worries about what would happen to Rachel if something happens to Denny. This isn’t going to be all that of a problem, although Claire doesn’t realize it right now.

We know that Ian thinks a lot about Rachel. He worries about her safety. We’re going to see a relationship blossom between the two of them. If something happens to Denny, she’ll have a husband and a family to take care of her.

Adapting An Echo in the Bone chapter

We often see some of these smaller moments included in Outlander. They give us a chance to develop Claire and Jamie’s relationship more. We need to see how the two connect, both emotionally and intimately. That’s what these moments are all about.

There will be time for something like this. It could take place in the middle of a battle, such as the way Claire and Jamie had a moment of quiet at the house before Claire was arrested by Richard Brown.

This moment also sees Jamie plan to get information from the British. We need to keep seeing that side of him, especially as he continues to fight in the Revolutionary War. So I do think a lot of this chapter will be used, even in just a small way, in Outlander Season 7.
