The Nevers Season 1, Part 2 reportedly pushed to 2023
We’ve been patiently waiting for the second half of The Nevers Season 1 since May 2021. The wait may be into 2023, according to reports.
Since The Nevers Season 1, Part 1 finished airing, we’ve waited patiently for more episodes. Outlander fans around the world have given this series a chance for Laura Donnelly, who takes on the lead role of Amalia True.
COVID-19 and Joss Whedon leaving the project led to some filming delays in 2020. It meant the second set of six episodes needed to be filmed after the release of the first six episodes. There was hope that we would get those episodes at some point in summer or fall 2022.
That hasn’t happened, and it doesn’t look like it’s going to happen. Rumors suggest that the series is going to be pushed into 2023.
When will The Nevers Season 1, Part 2 air?
According to Midgard Times, the series isn’t going to air the six episodes in 2022 at all. There isn’t enough space in the schedule, and so, the show is being pushed to 2023. Right now, the plan appears to be to air the episodes starting in February, but that could change.
It’s all about when in the schedule works. HBO has a lot going on right now, with The White Lotus Season 2 picking up the timeslot left behind by House of the Dragon. We will then have His Dark Materials Season 3 before the year comes to an end. It was rather telling that The Nevers wasn’t in the promotional material of shows coming to the streamer in 2022 and 2023, suggesting that HBO isn’t all that sure as to when it will air the show.
This does suggest something bad for the show. If HBO isn’t in a rush to air the episodes, it looks like it’s not performing well enough for the network considering the cost of a show like this. So, we’re looking at it being canceled after this one season.
The Nevers is available on HBO and HBO Max.
