Outlander Book Club: An Echo in the Bone Chapter 52 breakdown

It’s time to find out how Claire and Jamie get out of the fort in Outlander Book 7, Chapter 52

We knew it was going to happen, and now we get to find out how. Just how did Claire and Jamie get out of the fort in Outlander Book 7, Chapter 52?

It all picks up with Jamie learning that a British officer has been captured. That British officer gives away some key details, and it leads to St. Clair deciding that it’s time to evacuate the fort. Jamie could work with St. Clair and others to get everyone out, but instead, he sticks with Claire.

Of course, Claire is focused on her patients. When is she not concerned with patients over her own safety?

This chapter certainly has some foreshadowing in it. I’ll get to my thoughts on that in the foreshadowing chapter.

I certainly expect to see it used in the TV series. I’m not sure it will take up a lot of time, but I expect it to be included in some sort of way, and I’ll get to why that is in the adaptation section.
