Looking for something to watch during Droughtlander? Peacock may have you covered with One of Us Is Lying. Season 2 is now available to stream.

Five students walked into detention, but only four left alive. The five were the only ones in the room at the time Simon’s death, and now the police want to figure out which one of the four killed him. This is just the basic premise of One of Us Is Lying.

The second season has just dropped on Peacock. Could this be a series that will help you get through this Outlander break?

What is One of Us Is Lying about?

The series is based on a book of the same name by Karen M. McManus. It follows the murder of Simon, a student at Bayview High School who happens to run his own gossip blog. He publishes everything he can about the students at school, and he is more than willing to release their darkest secrets.

When he turns out dead, we learn that all four of the students in detention with him had secrets they wanted to keep to themselves. Did one of them kill him to make sure their secrets didn’t get out? All four state they didn’t do it, but who is lying? What actually happened that day in detention?

Why watch One of Us Is Lying during Droughtlander

If you like murder mysteries, this is going to be a series worth watching. It is a teen drama, so it’s aimed at those who love the likes of ReignPretty Little Liars, and Gossip Girl. If those types of shows aren’t for you, then this isn’t going to be for you.

If you loved the book by McManus, it’s going to be a series worth watching. This is actually very well adapted with the majority of the storyline followed. The changes come toward the end when it pushes the series into a second season. While there is a second book, the second season doesn’t follow that story. Instead, we have a new story with the same characters.

There are some great relationships to follow throughout the series. This is one of those shows that keeps you guessing as you figure out everyone’s secret. Just who did kill Simon, and why?

There are 16 episodes in total (so far) so you’ve got something to get through a little more of Droughtlander.
