William has to defend himself and the Hunters in Outlander Book 7, Chapter 41

William and the Hunters are on the road in Outlander Book 7, Chapter 41. They nearly lose their lives one night by trusting in the wrong people.

This chapter is an interesting one. We get to know more about the Hunters and what they believe in. While we’ve heard some things about the Quakers before, this is a chance for Denny and William to debate the topics of beliefs.

William is certainly stubborn in his views. However, the end of the chapter shows why violence is sometimes necessary, but it still doesn’t change Denny’s and Rachel’s views. It does echo back to something Jamie mentioned about Claire in the past, although Claire knows that violence sometimes is necessary.

I do think there is some foreshadowing in this chapter when it comes to Denny’s storyline. I’ll get to my thoughts on that in the foreshadowing section.

I also think that we’ll see this chapter adapted in Outlander Season 7. I’ll share why that is in the adaptation section.

Let’s dive into An Echo in the Bone Chapter 41.
