Outlander Book Club: An Echo in the Bone Chapter 35 breakdown

We see life for Claire and Jamie right now in Outlander Book 7, Chapter 35

After learning that Claire and Jamie get to Fort Ticonderoga in the previous chapter, it’s not surprising to see them there in Outlander Book 7, Chapter 35. The chapter is a little mundane for the most part, which gives us a look at real life.

I like some of these quieter chapters. We get a chance to see what life would have been like in the past. It’s not all drama all the time.

However, there are some parts that stand out. The biggest is at the end when it comes to Young Ian with a delicate matter. He wants to get to the bottom of what was going on with him and Emily when it came to having children, and this is such a beautiful moment for aunt and nephew.

I don’t see all that much in the way of foreshadowing in this chapter. There are signs of why the fort falls, but that’s about it. I’ll get to my thoughts on that in the foreshadowing section.

I do hope the end part of this chapter is included in the TV series. I don’t need to see all of it, but I do want to see Ian get to know more about children and what could have happened between him and Emily.
