Foreshadowing in the Outlander chapter

I do get a sense of foreshadowing in this chapter. There is danger, and that danger is partially linked to Jamie. Someone is after Jem, and it’s because of his knowledge of the gold. However, we’re just getting fed pieces of this plot line so far, and I love the slow burn of it.

I also get a sense of more gifts to develop. In Go Tell the Bees That I Am Gone, Mandy has the ability to keep everyone together, and she uses something that Jamie said. It’s all connected in this family, and this chapter is foreshadowing of that.

Adapting An Echo in the Bone chapter

I would love to see the chapter used in Outlander Season 7. I just don’t think there will be the time for it. Even just a mention like we got of Jamie talking about dreaming of Bree in Outlander Season 4 would be enough to make note that Jamie has some sort of gift. He gets to see his grandchildren.

I do understand if there isn’t enough time, though. After all, there is the possibility of Season 7 being the last, and the story needs to come to a close, which will mean cutting a few of these quieter moments out.
