Outlander Book Club: An Echo in the Bone Chapter 22 breakdown

Jamie’s gift of seeing into the future grows in Outlander Book 7, Chapter 22

In the previous chapter, there’s a hint that Jem and Mandy have some sort of ability. It’s probably not them and more like Jamie’s ability shining through. We get details of that in Outlander Book 7, Chapter 22.

This chapter sees Jamie tell Claire about the children. He has seen them, but he’s worried. I love that he is the one seeing them, and he’s connected with the grandchildren more than Brianna. I also love that we get to see Claire a little jealous about his abilities.

However, there is danger lurking. Jamie can sense it. The whole vision feels like there’s something to come. This certainly foreshadows things for the rest of this book and into the eighth book. Even then, the danger isn’t completely over.

I would love to see this chapter developed. I’d love to see Jamie gain abilities in the TV series. However, I’m afraid that there just won’t be the time for that to happen.
