Derry Girls Season 3 is not coming to Netflix in September 2022

We need more content to get us through Droughtlander. Sadly, Derry Girls Season 3 is not available just yet. When will the season come to Netflix?

Derry Girls hasn’t been on our list of Netflix suggestions in the past. It was only in the spring that we started recommending it, thanks to the inclusion of an Outlander actor. Our own Malva Christie is in the show. Jessica Reynolds is in one episode of the third and final season.

The bad news is we’re still waiting for Derry Girls Season 3. It’s not coming to Netflix in September, but we do finally have a release date. This will be a show to help us through a little more of Droughtlander.

When will Derry Girls Season 3 come to Netflix?

We only have to wait one more month. TVLine confirms that Derry Girls‘s final season will arrive on Friday, Oct. 7. All episodes will drop at once, which means you can enjoy a great binge-watch of the show. The first two seasons are available to stream right now, and it’s more than worth your time.

The third season is the last. This was confirmed last year, and the story was always planned this way. After all, there’s only so long characters can remain in high school, and moving them onto university and college just never seems to work. There’s a reason some shows opt for four-year time jumps.

This season will see a flashback episode to the 1970s, which is when Reynolds comes into the story. She plays the younger version of one of the parents, giving us a very different look to the adults we’ve come to know and love throughout the previous seasons. Wee Deidre is certainly going to be a surprise to many.

Derry Girls Season 3 is coming to Netflix on Friday, Oct. 7.
