Could Outlander get a panel at NYCC 2022 for Season 7?

For the last few years, we’ve seen Outlander at NYCC. With more cast members at NYCC 2022, is it possible we’ll have a panel for Season 7?

NYCC has become the place for all Outlander fans to be. The series has had a panel for Seasons 4, 5, and 6. Is it possible that we’ll get a panel for the upcoming seventh season, too?

When Diana Gabaldon was announced as one of the author guests at the event, we hoped it would be possible. It would all depend on the cast that would be able to attend. So far, three cast members have joined. However, it’s worth pointing out that one of those cast members is no longer involved in the series.

We are talking about Duncan Lacroix here. His character Murtagh was written out in the fifth season. While it could be possible to do flashbacks, those are unlikely in Season 7. That doesn’t stop a panel from happening, though.

Will other Outlander cast members be at NYCC 2022?

It all really depends on other cast members. We’d need a few main players to be at NYCC 2022 for a full panel to make sense. We have Sam Heughan, but what about Caitriona Balfe, Sophie Skelton, and Richard Rankin? Then there are the showrunners/EPs like Matthew B. Roberts and Maril Davis.

None of them have confirmed they’re attending just yet. Of course, they could be added on later. They could also attend virtually, which has become a thing in recent years. Balfe was at NYCC 2021 virtually while she remained home with her newborn baby.

We are certainly not ruling anything out right now. It’s looking more and more likely that a panel is possible. We just have to wait and see what the events planned are for the four-day convention.
