Outlander Book Club: An Echo in the Bone Chapter 15 breakdown

Lord John Grey searches for more information about Beaucamp in Outlander Book 7, Chapter 15

We continue with Lord John Grey as he searches for answers about Beauchamp in Outlander Book 7, Chapter 15. This chapter takes us to the Black Chamber.

I love another chapter with John. We continue to see a side to him in the main books that we’ve never had a chance to before. The only way we’d see this side to him is in the novellas, but not everyone has read them.

The chapter sees John learn a little more about Beauchamp. More that someone is trying to protect him in some way, but what John really wants to know is why Beauchamp wants Claudel Fraser.

At the end of the chapter, John goes to see his brother and sister-in-law. The interactions between John and Hal are among my favorites of the whole book series. I’m so glad they make it into this book and onward.

There is certainly some foreshadowing within the plot development in this book. I’ll get to my thoughts on that in the foreshadowing section.

As for adapting it, I’m really not that sure. Maybe the Hal sections could be, but I don’t really think the Beauchamp parts can be used in the show. I’ll get to why I think that in the adaptation section.
