Foreshadowing in the Outlander chapter

The foreshadowing in this chapter is certainly in the ship. I’m constantly reminded of Jamie traveling back from Scotland with Jenny. Their ship sinks. At least, that’s what everyone thinks. It just so happens that they didn’t get on that ship, but everyone assumes the worst.

The rest of the chapter is more about plot development. We have the storyline involving Beauchamp and the bit about William. It’s clear that John is going to get more time in this book.

Adapting An Echo in the Bone chapter

Considering the Beauchamp connection, I really want to see this chapter used in Outlander Season 7. I really want to see the Beauchamp storyline play out considering how many theories there are about it. Is the Comte St. Germain Fergus’s father? Are they Claire’s ancestors? Nothing is done for no reason in Diana Gabaldon’s books.

However, I’m not sure there’s going to be enough time for it all. There are more important storylines to follow through with. If Outlander Season 7 is going to end up being the last, then there really isn’t time to do the Beauchamp storyline justice, so there’s no need to keep this part in.

Next. How many Lord John Grey books are there?. dark
