Foreshadowing in the Outlander chapter

There is certainly foreshadowing in this chapter for William. John is concerned that William will figure it all out when he sees Jamie. Of course, that is exactly the way William learns that Jamie is his father after all.

William struggles to deal with this. It’s not really the secret, but the people who kept the secret from him. He also has to deal with the knowledge that if people find out, he’s lost everything. He decides he needs to find his own path.

Adapting A Breath of Snow and Ashes chapter

The chapter hasn’t been used yet, and I’m curious if it will be. I can certainly see something between John and Jamie as I don’t think this is the last time we’ve seen John on our screens. While their friendship is fractured as the two are on opposite sides of the war, I do think they need some sort of conversation with William in the Colonies.

However, the conversation about Bree saying something won’t need to come up. John already knows that Bree knows. He would have brought this up already if it was a real concern. Bringing it up in Outlander Season 7 wouldn’t make a lot of sense.

I would like to see the sapphire come up. After all, we’ve seen how important the sapphire is to John, and I’d love to see it remain important even though their friendship is fractured.
